Calendars and Diaries for Everything

Practitioner Calendars allow a Practitioner to create and update their regular working hours in M-Book, as well as their lunchbreaks, holidays and other appointments.

You can create a Calendar very simply by using the "Working Week Wizard" to describe your working hours for each day of a regular week.

Then you can add to this Calendar any days or hours when you are on holiday or otherwise not available.

Anything you add to your Calendar can be repeated - every few days, weeks or months, or on a particular day of a week or month. So if you regularly take lunch an hour later than usual on the 3rd Thursday of the month, M-Book can handle it!

These same Calendars can be used by Rooms and Premises, so you can have Rooms which are not always available. You might need to use this facility if you rent an extra room to work in for a few days a week.

These Calendars are shown on the main Bookings Calendar as grey "non-book" areas.

You can usually make Bookings inside the grey areas on your Bookings Calendar, but you will be warned that "This Room is not available at this time, are you sure you want to make this Booking?", and you will be able to click "yes".

M-Book will warn you when you are making a Booking which might not be valid, but most of the time you will be able to skip the warning. This is to give you the flexibility to make Bookings without needing to reconfigure the system: If your Practitioner is happy to do an appointment at a time when their Calendar is blocked out, you will be able to simply click the "skip" button and make the Booking, without needing to reconfigure your Practitioner's Calendar.
