Light-Touch Booking Validation

M-Book will not stop you from making "bad" Bookings, but it will help you as much as possible to avoid them.

When you set up a Room in M-Book, you can say which Services can be performed in that Room.

Your Booking Templates specify the amount of setup and cleanup time should be allowed.

Your Premises, Room and Practitioner have Calendars set up which say when that Premises, Room or Practitioner are available.

These all feed in to Booking Validation.

If you try to make a Booking for (say) Massage in a Room which does not normally support Massage - maybe it has no permanent Massage Table - you will be shown a warning about the Room not being suitable for Massage.

M-Book will allow you to skip this warning and create the Booking anyway.

M-Book will also warn you if your new Booking overlaps with the setup or cleanup time for another Booking, or if the Premises, Room or Practitioner are not available at this time.

You can create Bookings in all of these cases by skipping the warning.

But some problems cannot be skipped: M-Book will not allow you to create overlapping Bookings, nor will it allow you to make Bookings at a time when your Clinic is closed.

M-Book tries very hard in all of these cases to keep you informed of the health of Bookings, without getting in your way.
