Rights-Based Security

A lot of apps out there only offer a couple of user-types, which can't be changed. This creates a very rigid system, which can lead to problems where only certain users can do certain tasks.

M-Book doesn't do this

Instead, you can configure your user-types and your individual users to be able to perform all the tasks needed to do their jobs.

M-Book offers several user-types:

• Clinic Administrator
• Practitioner
• Receptionist

When you start using M-Book with a new Clinic, the user-types are set up like this:

• Clinic Administrators: They can do anything. Add/Edit Premises, Rooms, Services, Booking Templates, Event Templates etc. Take payments. Give refunds. Everything.
• Receptionists: They can create and manage Bookings, taking Payments, giving Refunds, moving Bookings and viewing all Clients. They can't do things like adding/editing Premises, Rooms, Services or Bookings/Event Templates.
• Practitioners: They can create and manage Bookings for themselves and take Payments and give Refunds. They can only view their own Clients, but they can create new Clients (who will then be "owned" by them). They can view all the information on their Bookings, but cannot see other Practitioners' Room Rent.

Rights-Based Security makes this completely maliable. You can grant all of your Practitioners the Right to be able to view all Clients, or you can grant a single Receptionist the Right to create End of Month Reports.

There are no Rights in the system which cannot be assigned to a User-Type or to a User.

And at any time, if you have a problem, you can reset all Rights to their Defaults, removing any changes you have made, returning your M-Book Clinic to its out-of-the-box settnigs.
